THE

CREATIVE PROCESS

For people who would like to:

  • Be confident

  • Be loving

  • Be brave

  • Be effective

  • Be authentic

Discover and refine how you can use your own unique creativity for self-development. This is transformational work.

It takes commitment from you and insight from me. The added bonus is that you will create beautiful things as you become more authentic.

It’s very simple:

We meet regularly over an agreed amount of time. We meet one on one and in a loving group context.  We talk through where you are at. I will give you homework. You do the work. Together, we see the change in your life that you are seeking.

Let’s chat to see if we are a good fit.

Where Does My Personal Motivation Come From?

When I was 15 years old, my brother's best friend, Craig, died after a devastating snowmobile crash at our house.

I grew up in a beautiful remote place full of rocks, trees, and snowmobiles.  Craig was annoying.  So much noise and so much mess, but I loved him.  He was only 13.

It was my first taste of grief.

Oh gosh, to watch my little brother and Craig’s family struggle was more than I could bear.

In that dark time-I had the oboe.

At that point, I had only been playing the oboe for a year and a bit. The oboe became a place of solace, and I would escape into a concert or a practice session. The feeling of so many humans onstage working towards a common artistic goal was enrapturing.

Up until Craig’s death, I had led a pretty safe existence. I listened to the rules and followed them; I didn’t like to stick out. I was on track to fulfilling my destiny as a small-town lawyer.  Good marks, docile attitude, community service.

Craig’s death changed everything for me.

I realized that there was a greater purpose to life than staying safe. There was some living to be done. That’s why I pursued playing music as a career.

I felt I had no choice-it was a matter of life and death. Quite literally.

I set out on my path to become a professional musician with no guarantee of success--and I got lucky. Countless others who are just as skilled and hardworking as I am are qualified to play at my level, yet they never got the opportunity.

I've been playing professionally for 25 years. It's been a real ride to live life as a performer and I often pinch myself that I get to do this!

As I’ve continued to navigate life’s ups and downs- death, birth, grief, longing, disappointment, abuse, healing, success, heart ache, love- I’m so grateful for my “Creativity “ in my life. Creativity has helped me wade through life’s struggles and helped me to grow.

In order to play my oboe authentically, I’ve had to find my authentic creative self. That was not an easy undertaking and came with many twists and turns.

I realize now, that this is not how everyone has gone through life. Not at all. Perhaps their pain is too painful or too big or they just don’t have a process to churn through it all. Many people put their heads down and never look up.

I encourage you to look up and look within yourself.

I’d love to help you with your process of using Creativity as a means for self-development. I work with people of all mediums.

Be the change you’d like to see in the world. :)

In love and light, eRin

“I’m so grateful to you-  You were able to zone in on what would be most helpful to my development. This was not a cookie-cutter approach to teaching but a very individualized to me. and I assume everyone else”
